Hotels are so last century.
For your next Roatan vacation, you have to look into renting a house on the beach. With major advances in vacation rental marketing, management and guest services, it has become every bit as easy to rent a whole house as it is to rent a single room, and you will be surprised at how affordable it can be.
But by far, the biggest benefit of renting a house versus a hotel room is what it will do for your stress level. With better locations, views, amenities, privacy and convenience, renting a house on the beach is the best way to enjoy your hard-earned vacation. The reason is simple: it's your home for a week (or two), not a room in someone else's. You can do what you want to do, when you want to do it. You can make yourself comfortable.
Why not a hotel?
The problem with hotels on the beach is that your room isn't actually on the beach. In some cases, your room can't even really see the beach. And when you go to the beach (or community pool), you end up racing two hundred of your closest friends for less than two hundred beach chairs. Another problem with a room in a hotel is that you might need more than one or two of them, and they don't always come with space for everyone to get together and relax that isn't in the middle of a bunch of other tourists. The other big issue is convenience and flexibility when it comes to meals. It's nice (and budget friendly) to eat in once in a while and to be able to go to the fridge and get a snack or beverage when you want one instead of going out or ordering expensive room service all the time.
A house on the beach = serenity.
Renting a house on the beach changes all of that. First off, hotels don't always have the best locations. Private homes don't need an enormous tract of land to build. They fit nicely into incredible waterfront locations, and when you rent a vacation home - you get the best views, the ones in the pictures, not a sliver from your balcony (if you lean the right way). In addition, rental homes provide a wealth of amenities not found in hotels including: shared, private space like living rooms and patios, washers and dryers, private pools and full kitchens, to name but a few. And with those full kitchens comes options and convenience - eat in or eat out, stock the fridge with favorite foods and beverages, and/or hire a private chef to cook for you one night. It all adds up to comfort and convenience.
Too often, we return from our vacations needing a vacation. Between the stress of group travel and the feeling of living out of a suitcase surrounded by hundreds of strangers, we don't get a chance to truly relax. Renting a house on the beach can dramatically reduce the stress and maximize the enjoyment of your next Roatan vacation.
